Aliases: Mato, Knez Atula, Knez, Količka Martinej
Matej is the founding member of the group. He got together with Ažo back in 2003 through a band Pussyfinger, soon they started writing their own songs. Next year they founded Pinocchio Pinchball together with Jan, who joined them on a bass guitar. He left the band in late 2004 and joined the band in 2008, then already by the name of Carnaval.
